Founded in 1976, Dalkey Players is one of Ireland’s best known amateur drama groups. The group is based in the historic town of Dalkey in County Dublin.
The group has extensive experience of the Drama Festival Circuit, both One Act and Full Length, and has won numerous awards over the 40 years it has been running, in all competition categories – acting, direction, set design, lighting and stage management. Most recently winning RTÉ All Ireland Drama Festival 2017 for thier production of Sarah Ruhl’s Dead Man’s Cell Phone, directed by Emma-Jane Nulty.
In addition, the group runs regular workshops on acting, directing, movement and voice for its members. Previous workshop facilitators have included Pat Kinevane, Ena May, Scott Marshall , Chrissie Poulter. and Conall Morrison.
